A little about me...

Hi, I’m Ella — and I believe life after 50 can be the most interesting chapter yet.
I’ve lived through more than a few plot twists — raising a family, moving all over as a military wife, starting businesses, selling houses as a Realtor, saying bittersweet goodbyes, and learning to start over (more than once). I’ve called more places “home” than I can count, including a few years living in Europe, and I’ve been lucky enough to have visited more than 35 countries (and still counting). Travel has shaped how I see the world — and reminded me how much beauty there is in both the familiar and the unexpected.
Some seasons were joyful, others were hard, and plenty were a mix of both. For a long time, I thought I was confident… but looking back, I see that much of it was for show. I was still carrying old wounds, second-guessing myself, and downplaying what I had to offer — something I’ve since learned is far more common than most women admit.
It wasn’t until I slowed down — through journaling, meditation, and a lot of quiet mornings with coffee — that I started to peel back the layers and hear my own voice again. That space to reflect helped me grow into a version of myself I actually like spending time with.
These days, I write about the things that matter to me: navigating change, valuing yourself, creating a life that feels true, and finding joy in the everyday moments. My first book, A Self-Love Journey ~ Joy, Healing & Authentic Living for Women Over 50, comes from that mix of lived experience, lessons learned, and a little humor to keep it real.
My grandchildren may live at the other end of the country, but they’re never far from my heart. I visit as often as I can, and in between trips, I’m always planning the next adventure — whether it’s across an ocean or just somewhere I’ve never been before.
If you’re here, I hope you’ll explore a bit — read a blog post, download my free journal, or just follow along as I keep figuring things out, one chapter at a time.
Because we’re not done yet… we’re just getting started. 💜
