I thought chasing my dream might be scary. Turns out, the real fear was never trying. So I finally put pen to paper — and it changed everything.
For most of my life, I’ve carried a quiet dream — to write a book. I didn’t always know what kind of book it would be. I just knew there were words in me that needed a home. Over time, through my own life experiences and years of journaling, the vision started to take shape. The book grew organically from my journey — a blend of lessons learned, truths discovered, and the kind of encouragement I wished I’d had along the way.
But for years, I kept that dream tucked away. Because, to be honest, sometimes chasing a dream can feel terrifying. What if it turned out badly? What if I embarrassed myself? What if no one cared? Those “what ifs” kept me still.
Then one day, I realized I was 63 — and time was racing. I thought about how much I’d regret not trying, and how that would feel far worse than any failure. So I made a choice: I’d stop waiting for the perfect moment and start writing anyway.
Here’s what I’ve learned along the way:
You’re never too old to start something new. Age doesn’t disqualify you — in fact, it gives you more to say.
Fear loses its power when you move anyway. The moment I started writing, the “what ifs” got quieter.
Regret weighs more than failure. Even if this book only touched one woman’s heart, it would be worth it.
Saying yes to this dream has been one of the most freeing decisions of my life. And if you’ve been carrying a dream of your own — no matter how big, small, or scary it feels — let me be living proof that it’s never too late to begin.
💜 Because life’s too short to keep your dreams waiting.
